Two Months Old

I can't believe how time flies--Grayson is two months old already. He is such a sweet little guy and we love him so much! He still likes to be held and cuddled when he's tired, but otherwise he prefers to be able to see everything and everyone. He loves to kick, smiles a lot, makes lots of baby noises, and tries so hard to talk! He had his two-month check-up today, weighing in at 13 lbs. 13 oz and 23 3/4" long. Big and healthy!

Here are some pictures of his first couple of months of life:

Enjoying the rocker (deja vu--looks just like Audrey when she used it!)

First Twins game (well, Grayson didn't get to go, but he got all dressed up!)

Welcome to the World, Baby Grayson!

What started as a lazy Sunday morning quickly turned to chaos when Baby Grayson decided he couldn't wait one more day and wanted to be a Cinco de Mayo baby. We hurried the kids out the door without breakfast and made it to the hospital by 9:00am. Roughly two and half hours later, Grayson Gunnar Macumber was brought into the world. Thank goodness for Mom, the surgery went off without a hitch and she quickly started on the road to recover.

Table Talk

I need to do a better job of recording the great three-year-old conversations between Audrey and Isaac. The things they discuss just crack us up! A lot of these conversations occur at the breakfast table because it's just the two of them sitting there (Ryan and I are usually busy getting ready for the day).

This morning's conversation:
Audrey: "I am bigger than you, Isaac."
Isaac: "But I am stronger than you, Audrey. I can do handstands!"
Audrey: "Yes, but I can do somersaults."
Isaac: "That's true...that does make you strong, but I am still stronger!"

FYI: The only "fact" in this whole conversation is that Audrey really can do somersaults. :)

I'm going to try and write down more of these conversations. They are hilarious!

You Know You're a Hawkeye When...

You know you're a Hawkeye when "Iowa" is the first word you can spell. That's right: Isaac might not be able to write his own name yet, but he spelled Iowa with stickers tonight. The funny part is that I asked him what it spelled, and he replied, "Go Hawks!" Thanks to Ryan and a teacher who's a die-hard Hawkeye fan, he has learned the chant, "I-O-W-A...Go Hawks!" and apparently, it has made an impression on him. :) Ryan is so proud!
